GERALDINE

There was a new arrival this Christmas and I must say at first my nose was put out of joint a bit *grumph* ........... I thought she was rather soppy. I really prefer being on my own just watching the world go by ...........

.......... but we started chatting and actually Geraldine turned out to be quite friendly and we have a lot in common including some relatives in Upper Dicker.

Apparently an older Ted makes her feel more secure and safe .......... who am I to argue? *grumph*

Please don't tell Daddy Papersurfer - he's still under the misapprehension that he's my only friend. He can get a bit jealous.

Tomorrow we're going to try and sneak out to play bingo in the village hall - I hope my arm doesn't fall off.

Welkum Geraldine! You look like a very sweet gurl!

I hope GT doesn't corrupt you (too much)...just don't fall for that "Ooops! I have a wayward arm!" line of his, & yoo'll be fine!

I like your pink coat! Are you wearing matching knickers? I hope?

Please don't mention 'knickers' - Geraldine is very well brought up and doesn't understand American brashness *grumph*

Geraldine speaks the Queen's English. This comment applies to both of you *grumph*

Busy Bear said...

Well.....what does the Queen call her UNMENTIONABLES then?

Grumpy Ted said...

She never mentions them - she gets someone else to talk about them. *grumph*

One believes you have become fairly grumpier my dear boy ... One hopes that dear Geraldine soon puts a smile on your face ......so does she have matching undergarments? My dear lady Sue has suggested if she hasn't any at her disposal then she could perhaps send a selection of her lacey finery .......tally ho, chocks away, simply spiffing dear boy
(ok is that posh enough??)
